Xograph is excited to set a new extremity and paediatric imaging benchmark for lower radiation dose with the launch of the all new TAU 2020 mini C-arm from Orthoscan.
Launched in the UK at the British Orthopaedic Association Congress, September 2019, TAU features a number of ground-breaking technologies only previously found in full-sized mobile C-arms but essential to continuously improving intraoperative extremity image guidance.
Thanks to the latest dose reduction, imaging innovations and dedicated exposure programs that TAU incorporates, it is the first mini C-arm to be certified and approved for paediatric imaging.
Equipped with the first ever 20×20 cm CMOS flat panel image receptor on a mini C-arm, TAU captures more anatomy in a single view. Complementing the TAU’s pulsed fluoroscopy output for significantly lower dose is the industry’s first stepless motorised collimator on a mini C-arm. This reduces the area of exposure at the touch of a button and further enhances image quality as well as cutting radiation dose and scatter to both the patient and nearby personnel. An optimised X-ray beam filter significantly reduces radiation absorbed in the skin that would otherwise contribute nothing to image production.
