The University Hospital of Hartlepool, part of the North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust has installed a Planmeca Proline XC digital dental system and a Planmeca Intra X-ray unit with Dixi3 digital intra oral sensors. All were supplied and installed by Xograph Healthcare, the leading independent imaging equipment supplier for the UK and Ireland.
The Planmeca Proline XC provides high-quality panoramic and cephalostat imaging capabilities and the touch screen user interface and motorised movements provide ease of use for operators. The system provides side entry, open view and motorised adjustments for practical and precise positioning, whilst providing patients with comfort and stability supports.
The hospital also chose the Planmeca Intra X-ray unit for intraoral imaging, which offers exceptional image quality. Operation is intuitive, utilising pre-programmed exposures allowing manual override if required to ensure effortless yet high quality results. The innovative design provides longevity, stability, infection control features and reduced radiation, without compromising on accuracy, positioning or movement. The Digital Dixi3 sensors were chosen with the system offering user-friendliness and optimum positioning utilising sensor holders which are easily attachable.
Jayne Pailor, Advanced Practitioner at The University Hospital of Hartlepool said, The Xograph dental equipment has proved to be very popular with the staff. The OPG equipment in particular has many features which make it easy to use and consistently produces high quality images. We are very pleased with our choice.
