he North Bristol NHS Trust has recently purchased another Ziehm mobile C-arm Image Intensifier from Xograph Healthcare, the leading independent medical equipment supplier in the UK and Republic of Ireland. The compact Ziehm 8000 is now in use at Southmead Hospital, it complements the six systems already in use throughout the Trust .
The Ziehm 8000 is an economical, yet reliable solution which is characterised by its small footprint and unmatched mobility, ideal for quickly transporting to busy theatre rooms where space is at a premium. It has clear high contrast images (displayed instantly on the high resolution monitors) making it perfect for applications such as orthopaedics, pain management and trauma. The Ziehm 8000 enjoys intuitive operation from its self- explanatory user interface for image capture and patient data management through to a high level of automation and “start and go” functionality.
"The Ziehm mobile c-arms have proved popular with the radiographers in our Trust. They are easy to move and use, and don’t compromise quality in any way. Response time from being switched on is very short and post processing straight forward. A very practical and user-friendly piece of equipment." Said Margaret Aspbury, Superintendent Radiographer at Southmead Hospital.
