The Animal Health Trust (AHT), a veterinary charity based near Newmarket, has installed the latest X-ray ceiling crane system supplied by Xograph Healthcare. The veterinary charity is dedicated to improving the health and welfare of animals via research and treatment in its referral centres.
The new Twin Ceiling Crane X-ray system was installed into its Centre for Equine Studies. The Equine Centre offers a comprehensive referral service for orthopaedics, imaging and poor performance. With research being fundamental at the AHT, the new equipment has greatly facilitated the Trust’s commitment to developing improved means of diagnosis and treatment of horses. Due to the new synchronised cranes the centre is able to cut the time taken to acquire an image, reducing the stress to the animals.
Xograph worked with the AHT to design a new X-ray room which helped to meet all of its needs and to reduce some of the existing problems it was experiencing, helping to provide a better working environment for staff and a more efficient throughput of animals.
Nia Turley, Equine Radiographer at the Animal Health Trust comments, “The introduction to the department of the new X-ray system has significantly enhanced our daily working practices, Xograph were on hand to support us by answering our questions and provide the right people on site. This quick and flexible response gave us great confidence in choosing it as part of the team. Xograph has offered us more than just a technological solution.”
