The Planmed Nuance Full Field Digital Mammography (FFDM) system provides superior digital image quality and includes diagnostic software for image acquisition, softcopy reporting and digital connectivity.
The Planmed Nuance FFDM System delivers superior image quality with optimal dose. The high-speed X-ray tube with dedicated magnification track and digital Flex-AEC allow high patient throughput without compromising image quality. Flex-AEC automatically determines the optimal exposure parameter for all tissue types.
In addition to rapid breast screening procedures, the Planmed Nuance is also ideal for high-precision diagnostic mammography. The Planmed Nuance ‘DigiGuide’ is optionally available for digital stereotactic and geometric magnification procedures. The system is also compatible with both vertical or optional lateral vacuum-assisted biopsy devices.
The Planmed Nuance has been designed to be compact in size yet offer excellent ergonomics for ease-of-use. The patient centric design ensures that the radiographer is not far from the patient when operating the unit. This aspect, combined with its open side-entry design reduces patient anxiety leading to increased attendance at repeat breast screening sessions.
The system also features Nuance Acquire, an innovative digital image acquisition workstation that presents high-quality and sharp digital images on the high-resolution grey scale monitor. The images can be transferred to PACS, optionally burned to CD or printed. The optional DICOM worklist provides patient information from HIS / RIS / MIS.
